The process to become a foster parent typically takes 1–2 months and involves several important steps to ensure safety and preparedness.
Fostering Requirements

Must be at least 21 years of age

Must complete an Information Session (virtual or in person at the office)

Must undergo both Child Protective Screenings and Criminal Records Checks

Must complete a Medical Exam

Must successfully complete Pre-Service NTDC (National Training and Development Curriculum)

Must provide proof of Current Residence and Financial Stability
